At Envision, we hold ourselves to the highest possible standard. We voluntarily invite regular independent evaluation to ensure that we successfully address our clients' and families' unique needs. Across the 14 consecutive surveys offered since 1978, we received the highest possible scores from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Envision is a dedicated, compassionate community that provides the best services to 1,200 individuals. We measure our success by clients' progress, as we help children and adults realize self-identified goals and objectives. When did Envision form?

Envision supports one of Chicago's most vulnerable populations: in addition to having a primary diagnosis of mental retardation, 92% of our clients come from or live in homes at or below the Federal Poverty Level, and approximately 50% have mild to severe physical disabilities as well. 84% of our constituency are minority ethnicities.

Externally, the quality of Envision’s program is assessed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Over a time span of 35 years, Envision has earned the highest possible accreditation from CARF in every survey conducted. Our most recent evaluation in 2012 was our best yet. Envision was rigorously reviewed by surveyors on a total of 1,140 standards. Envision received over 20 commendations for strengths and two very rare “exemplary commendations."
